Book Reviews?

Hello Reader!

I need your advice. You. Yes you. Why? Because I don’t have enough funny stories to keep this blog rolling. I need something else.

Book reviews.

What? Why?  Because I like book reviews, that’s why!  Also because goodreads is kinda pissing me off these days with their spamalot of “so-and-so added such-and-such to their list.”  Someday, goodreads and I are going to part ways. Not yet, but soon, and for the rest of our lives.

But I have a lot of reviews over there. Heaps of reviews. And some of them are interesting, and many of them I spent quite a bit of time on.  Some of them are about books that you probably might like, whose authors could use a little signal boost. And let’s face it, when I dislike a book, I tend to go off on it, and I want you to snort milk out your nose.

Here are my questions:

How often should I post reviews? One a week? Two a week? As read?

Should I start with the old ones, or just review stuff I read from here on out?

Only the good books, or a mix of books I like and books I dislike?

Fiction or nonfiction? (I read about half-and-half.) Both?

**A mix of the two, reviewing stuff from here on out plus throwing in the best of the old ones
Only the good books, or a mix of books I like and books I dislike?
**Definitely a mix. Your reviews of the books disliked are hilarious!

    I vote for:

    -as read

-stuff from here on out, unless it’s a review you are particularly fond of

    -both like and dislike

    -both fiction and non-fiction

A mix of new and old is good.

You might get more comments on your blog if registration wasn’t required to post. I’d suggest OpenID if you want some level of verifying people.

How do I do that? I want people to be able to comment, but I don’t want anonymous comments. I tried to change it, but I don’t know if I succeeded.
