Hollow Book

too thin inside

I wanted to make something for my friend for her birthday, so when I saw book-purses on Pinterest, it inspired me.  I was trying to make a clutch purse out of a hardback book. I got some hardback books really cheaply at hte library (no, they weren’t rentals. They sell old books as a fun-raiser). Then I glued the outside with acrylic and trimmed the middle. One of the directions I saw on how to make it suggested leaving a few pages at either end un-trimmed. So here’s the first draft. As you can see, I left only 1/4 inch width between the hole and the outside edge. This proved insufficient.
