Book Review: Absolutely Almost

Absolutely AlmostAbsolutely Almost by Lisa Graff

This is a charming book about a kid named Albie who’s not very good at anything. I found him plausible and endearing, as well as the secondary characters. It’s a character-driven novel centering on a young boy and his relationship with his parents, with his babysitter, with his best friend, with the guy who runs the bodega, and with his math teacher.

I’m not sure what this is rated for, but I think it’s suitable for, say 4th to 6th graders, depending on the kid. I got the audiobook, and found the narration excellent.
