    Novel Synopses (unpublished)

    Seeing Things

    A woman named Kit inherits a magic bindi from her famous witch uncle. Kit has to use this bindi’s powers to find out which of her uncle’s enemies is trying to kill her.

    Treemaker

    Kit undertakes a quest to save her boyfriend from a curse. She begins to lose her heart to the vampire who agrees to help her, and eventually loses more than that when her quest takes her to the Realm of the Faerie.

    Dayrunner

    Kit takes a job as Dayrunner for the Guild Leader of the Vampires, only to find that the job description involves dodging assassination attempts. Meanwhile, her love life is in shambles as her current boyfriend drinks too much blood and her ex-boyfriend still has a lien on her heart.

    Faerie Killer

    Morales, a vampire investigator undergoing a midlife crisis, attempts to solve a series of brutal murders involving faeries. The investigation goes awry because Kit (the human assigned to help him) and the faeries have deep secrets, and they aren’t talking.

    Changing Places

    Someone is killing Seabingen’s lycanthropes and it’s up to Councilman Albers of the Vampire Guild to find out who. Albers has her own agenda, and wants to pin the murders on the local crime ring, but soon she realizes that hiding the truth may doom them all.

    Familiar Battles

    Barbara, a white witch with an incurable disease, decides to kill the familiar of a god in order to live forever. Raven, the young woman who happens to be the god’s familiar, learns of this plan and tries to stop her.

    Plague of Trees

    Trees mysteriously appear overnight in front of Kit’s house. Her search to find out what’s going on reveals strange doings in Arizona, where rogue vampires are getting away with murder.

    Tairen Romance

    (Sixty years after Plague of Trees.) Kit gets fired, her boss goes missing (presumed dead), and she suspects that her attractive housekeeper is involved with an underground resistance movement that will pit Kit’s family against the Guild of Vampires.

    A New Hunger

    (Directly after Tairen Romance.) The new Guild Leader learns that it’s one thing to take over the Vampire Guild, and quite another to keep the post without dying. Meanwhile, a treacherous faerie is destroying Kit with sorcery. Tair, the only mage skilled enough to protect Kit, is lost in the Realm of the Faerie.

    The Warrior and Her Empress

    A coming of age story in which a young woman strives to find the destiny in wait for her, a destiny which will alter the course of her country’s future.

    Alternate Susan

    A mage summons a djinn and asks to switch places with her counterpart in an alternate reality. This is the story of the alternate counterpart, who suddenly finds herself in a magical world where her brother and sister are dead, her mother is missing, and a menacing djinn wants payback for the wish.

    Mulberry Wands

    Griff Harrower gets a lucrative part-time job selling magic wands, but when owls murder his business partner, Griff wonders how much he really needs the money.

    The Heat Stealer

    An unnaturally chilly woman seems the perfect solution to three housemates’ broken air conditioner.  Until they begin to go insane.
