Cobalt Stamp Plate 3

Except for the first one, all these plates have a very similar design.  This one has a glaze flaw on the edges. This is what happens when the cobalt carbonate is too thick.

Cobalt Stamp Plate 2

First step in creating these plates was to roll out wedged clay on the slab roller. You can see the texture of the canvas.  Second step was to stamp all over the slab using commercial rubber stamps.  I especially like the text background stamps.
